Irmãos Makossa will be performing an exclusive DJ set of vibrant African music at Evora Africa. As always, a real treat is in order as the Makossa duo are set to spin some pulsating sounds that will take you through an exciting journey of African rhythms. The Afromats Crew will be there in full to witness this exciting event (look out for the blog post on this). Expect to experience an eclectic mix of Afrosoundz, drawing upon everything from Highlife to Funaná to Semba, Soukous and Chimurenga.
The Evora Arfrica exhibition and festival runs from May 25 to August 25. More than 30 contemporary artists, musicians and performers from Africa will gather in the city of Évora in Portugal to celebrate the culture and heritage of the African continent.
